Sarah Steffan

Sarah Steffan has a background in education and nonprofits. She has led teams of various sizes, and her expertise lies in program creation and turnaround. Most recently, while serving as a member of the athletic department staff and as a volleyball coach at Rollins College, she was instrumental in developing and implementing new systems, managing operations and cost control measures, and accelerating recruiting activities. Her leadership drove engagement within athletics with various activities, including in development and game attendance. The systems Sarah built created repeatable and replicable processes that are still thriving.

Through her MBA and other studies, Sarah found a passion for the intersection of sustainability and business in food systems. She is passionate about increasing accesses for those who are hungry and creating awareness for how to make fruits and vegetables delicious. As a driving force behind Retaaza’s direct to community channels, Sarah is leading innovative solutions to reduce food waste and combat hunger.
