Suhani Patel

Suhani comes from a background in civil engineering with experience in water resources. They have pivoted to a more people-centered role with Retaaza, where they hope to use their skills to help build better food systems and engage directly with community members. They are passionate about sustainability and food systems and are eager to learn more about how to increase food access across the city.

Originally from California, Suhani understands their role as a transplant and hopes to use their position at Retaaza as a way to contribute to the Atlanta community that has graciously welcomed them.

In their free time Suhani enjoys creating art and learning new crafts and skills. They also enjoy exploring Georgia’s nature and hiking and climbing around the Southeast. Their interest in food systems stems from their love of cooking and baking and the joy it brings people.
