Meet Our Farm Partner: Jibb's Vineyards

At Retaaza, our mission is to refresh the way we feed community. And that begins with supporting our farmers. By sourcing produce directly from farms across Georgia, we’re able to support local agriculture while delivering fresh, high-quality food to communities. One of the farms we’re proud to partner with is Jibb’s Vineyards, a family farm in Byromville, Georgia known for growing a wide range of fruits and vegetables, including the collard greens we source!

Behind the farm is longtime grower Howard James, whose family has been farming the land for more than 150 years. A military veteran, James returned to the farm in the late 1970s and purchased the operation from his father in 1997. He named the farm after his mother, Edith James, whose nickname was “Jibb.”

Today, Jibb’s Vineyards spans more than 1,100 acres in Middle Georgia. The farm grows a wide variety of crops, including muscadines, watermelon, persimmons, peaches, plums, peas, butterbeans, and collard greens. Over the years, James has continued investing in the farm to expand production and maintain quality and more recently, installing irrigation, deer fencing, and a pre-cooling system that helps keep produce fresh from harvest to delivery.

Collard Greens from Farm to Table

Through our partnership with Jibb’s Vineyards, Retaaza sources collard greens grown right here in Georgia for wholesale clients and for sale at Retaaza Markets. Collards are a Southern staple and one of the most versatile leafy greens around. They’re also packed with fiber and vitamins C and K!

Here are three ways we like to enjoy our Jibb’s Vineyards Collards:

  1. Collard Green Wraps: the large leaves of Collard Greens make a great alternative to tortillas or sandwich wraps! RECIPE HERE
  1. Southern Stewed Collard Greens: a classic preparation of these greens. RECIPE HERE
  1. Collard Green Salad: don’t miss out on enjoying collards, thinly sliced and raw. RECIPE HERE

Partnerships with farms like Jibb’s Vineyards make it possible for Retaaza to connect communities with fresh, locally grown food. Farmers like Howard James bring generations of knowledge and care to every harvest, and we’re proud to work alongside them to help get Georgia-grown produce onto more plates!

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
