A Home Run for Community and Fresh Food: Retaaza at MLB’s All-Star Weekend

This past weekend, Retaaza had a great time participating in the pre-festivities for Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game, hosted right here in Atlanta!
To celebrate the big game and the spirit of community, we popped up a Retaaza farm stand at Food Well Alliance’s community farm in Leila Valley, a South Atlanta neighborhood. Volunteers and guests enjoyed the best of Georgia’s summer harvest — farm bags filled with peaches, bell peppers, and rescued cherry tomatoes.
The day was a true team effort. Food Well Alliance, the Atlanta Braves, MLB, and Atlanta Housing came together to host a volunteer day that helped shape the farm into a vibrant gathering space for the community. Volunteers rolled up their sleeves to:
