Holiday Cheer at The MARTA Markets

News

The holiday season arrived right on schedule at our Farm Fresh MARTA Markets, where stations transformed into festive marketplaces filled with local produce and goods, commuting neighbors, and special guests.

Hosted at West End Station, the Holiday Market brought shoppers together to browse local artisans, enjoy hot cocoa and seasonal treats, and take part in a DIY crafting station with Scraplanta. Guests spun the prize wheel for custom Breeze Cards, shopped the MARTA pop-up for holiday sweaters and Atlanta United co-branded apparel, snapped photos with The Real Black Santa, and, of course, stocked up at our produce-packed West End MARTA Market.

“The holiday market is one of our favorite ways to celebrate our riders and highlight our community partners,” said MARTA Interim General Manager and CEO Jonathan Hunt. “From free holiday rides to local vendor markets and festive surprises, we’re excited to spread cheer across the system all season long.”
To end a great day, the Holiday Market culminated with the reveal of MARTA’s three “Wrapping Up the Year” holiday buses. Market shoppers and the Retaaza Farm Fresh Market team gathered to enjoy the moment and watch the buses head off on their debut rides spreading holiday cheer across the system.

“During a season when money is tight for many, the generosity and joy we see at our markets feels especially meaningful, said MARTA Market Manager Ashli Price. It’s a powerful reminder that good food and kindness go hand in hand.”
