We’re hitting the road in DeKalb County! Retaaza is excited to introduce the DeKalb Farm Fresh Mobile Market, bringing fresh, affordable, locally grown produce directly to neighborhoods with limited access to healthy food.
Launched on November 10, the mobile market will visit South DeKalb neighborhoods identified as food deserts on Mondays and Fridays for the next few months, helping residents easily and affordably access fresh fruits and vegetables. This initiative is supported in partnership with DeKalb County Commissioners Ted Terry and Dr. LaDena Bolton and the Chief Executive Office – Office of DeKalb County.

The launch comes at a critical time. Already, 1 in 5 DeKalb County residents face food insecurity, and recent disruptions in SNAP benefits have made it even more challenging for many residents to afford groceries. Our hope is that the DeKalb Farm Fresh Mobile Market addresses these immediate needs while raising awareness about the need for broader support.
