Reflecting on a Great Year: Our 2024 Impact Report!

As we close out 2024, we’re celebrating a year of remarkable growth, collaboration, and impact. This year reaffirmed our commitment to building a more equitable, resilient food system while deepening our sustainability efforts and strengthening partnerships.‍ We launched new Retaaza Rx Farm Fresh Markets, including our first on-campus market, and expanded with three new locations in partnership with the Metro Atlanta Coalition for Healthy Neighborhoods. Our Field to Fork food rescue program, in collaboration with Second Helpings Atlanta, advanced our mission.

Our 2023 Impact Report!

As we look back on 2023, we’re proud to share Retaaza’s Impact Report - highlighting the strides we’ve made in refreshing the way we feed community. By purchasing surplus and unsold produce from Georgia farmers, we help reduce food waste while ensuring nutritious food reaches families in need.‍ Last year we strengthened existing partnerships and created new ones, and we deepened our commitment to Georgia’s local food system. We deployed our first Direct to Community experiences through our Rx markets. We also created a food rescue pilot at one of Atlanta’s favorite farmers markets!

Meet Our Farm Partner: Diamond Hill Farm

At Retaaza, we celebrate Georgia farmers whose hard work and harvests bring local produce to our tables. Today, we’re happy to highlight Diamond Hill Farm, nestled in Athens, Georgia. ‍Diamond Hill Farm began in 2012, when Carter Dodd, a former music venue manager, decided to follow his passion for growing food. What started as a backyard hobby soon blossomed into a family-wide operation, with Carter and his wife Shelley building a farm rooted in love and hard work.


